Most people will agree with us on the fact that the rescue diver certification is one the most rewarding certification! This course will take you to a high level of performance in rescue skills. You will definitely become more safe conscious and self-oriented.

Duration: 4 days.

Prerequisites:

a. Be at least 12 years old.

b. Be certified on CPR-Primary care and basic first aid (secondary care) within the past two years (24 months). Note: view Emergency First Response course for details.

c. Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization. This is defined as proof of certification beyond entry level (at least two certifications total), with proof of 20 or more logged dives documenting experience in deep diving and underwater navigation.

Structure:

Knowledge Development

There are five chapters in the student manual. You most complete the knowledge reviews (questions) at the end of each chapter. Your instructor will review the questions with you. After reviewing the questions you most complete the final exam.

Training exercises

There are 10 training exercises that will get you hands on directly with the things you need to know to access divers with problems. Some of these exercises will have a prior confine water pool session and then there will be a practice in the open water environment.

Open Water Scenarios

There are four open water scenarios where you will put all the knowledge from training exercises and knowledge development in practice. These are fun scenarios with rescue situations that you will give you an idea of what a real situation could be like.
