PADI Instructor Development Courses IDC

Our facility is a PADI 5 star Gold Palm IDC Center. You will be delighted with this course. Let us take you through it and help you to become an active PADI Scuba Instructor. The opportunities for a job are world wide for dive instructors. Each day there is more demand, perhaps there is more people that wants to learn how to scuba dive and enjoy one of the most incredible experiences some one can have.

Prerequisites:

•  Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or hold a leadership level certification with another recreational diver training organization. An individual with leadership level certification with another diver training organization can be:

•  An Instructor member in good standing with one of the following organizations: BSAC (Club Instructor or higher), CMAS (one star Instructor or there star diver), FAUI, IDEA. Los Angeles County , MDEA, NAUI, PDIC, SSI, SAA (Instructor Grade 2 or higher) or YMCA.

•  Or, a diver with proof of certification in diver supervision and management including proof of rescue diving certification.

•  Be at least 18 years old.

•  Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement for a diving medical examination conducted within the past 12 months. A licensed physician must sign the form and state that the candidate is fit for diving. The physician signing the form may not be the applicant.

•  Have been a certified diver for the last six months and have completed and logged at least 60 open water dives (as documented in the log book) and have documentation of experience in deep, night and navigation diving.

•  Submit proof of CPR and First Aid training within the past 24 months.

•  Submit documentation of any qualifying certification for entry level, advanced, rescue and leadership-level issued by another recreational diver training organization.

•  If not a PADI Divemaster, successfully complete the PADI Divemaster course diver rescue skill assessment.

Duration: 7-10 days

Materials:

•  IDC Crew Pack include; Instructor Manual (paper or CD version), Candidate Work book, The Best of the Undersea Journal, Confined & Open water presentations preparation slates, Confined & Open water Aquatic Cue Cards, The Law and The Diving Professional, The Business of Diving.

•  Open Water Diver Manual + quizzes and exam booklet.

•  RDP wheel and table version.

•  Adventures in Diving Manual.

•  PADI Rescue diver Manual + Final exam booklet.

•  PADI Divemaster Manual + Final exam booklet.

•  Log Book.

•  Bucket calculator.

 

NOTE: if Instructor Manual (digital version) is used, need of owner-ship is required.

Structure:

The course is divided in two portions. The first three days are for the Assistant Instructor Course and the rest of the time for the Open Water Scuba Instructor Course.

 

INSTRUCTOR EXAMINATION (IE).

The course will be follow by an examination (IE), conducted by a PADI Examiner.

Duration: two days
